Used extensively in high quality furniture, New Zealand Rimu has a rich colour and figured decorative grain. This native timber is only found in New Zealand and can only be milled under Ministry of Forestry Sustainable Yield Plans or Permits. This ensures only minimal amounts of timber are milled each year, allowing regrowth and sustainability for future generations. Careful seasoning and kiln-drying contribute to a stable long-lasting product.
